The occluded low pressure system over the Midwest is expected to
open into a low pressure trough. A broad area of snow and rain
showers will persist in the wrap around flow.Snow will persist
across Upper Michigan while tapering off across parts of the
Mississippi Valley. A parent low is then expected to deepen across
the Northeast coastline and bring the threats of strong wind and
heavy rain along warmer coastal locations and wintry precipitation
to portions of New York and into New England. Furthermore, there
may be a period where a wintry mix and/or freezing rain develops
across the Poconos, Berkshires, Adirondacks and Catskills. Snow
accumulations over 1 foot likely for the favored higher terrain of
northern New England with locally 2 feet possible.

The next Storm Summary will be issued by the Weather Prediction
Center at 1000 AM CDT. Please refer to your local National Weather
Service office for additional information on this event.
