Winter Storm Warnings are in effect across the California Coastal
Range, Shastas, and Sierra Nevada. Additional Winter Storm
Warnings are in effect across the Wasatch and Central Rockies.

Blizzard Warnings are in effect across the central Sierra Nevada
and eastern Nevada state.

High Wind Warnings and Advisories are in effect across portions of
the Colorado Plateau.

At 600 AM PST...Radar mosaic imagery depicts scattered moderate to
heavy mountain snowfall and low elevation showers across portions
of California, Pacific Northwest, and Great Basin. Gusty winds
continue across the region per recent surface observations.

Substantial distruptions to daily life and travel will continue
atop the Sierra Nevada today as dangerous blizzard conditions
continue, with an additional 1-2 feet of snowfall expected through
tomorrow morning. Avalanches are increasingly likely in the Sierra
Nevadas as additional snowfall piles up. East of the Sierra,
hazardous wind  will continue today across the Colorado Plateau,
where wind gusts could exceed 75 mph. Another sysem (albiet less
extreme) will bring additional heavy snowfall beginning tomorrow
to parts of Northern CA, the Sierra, and the Cascades.

The next Storm Summary will be issued by the Weather Prediction
Center at 700 PM PST. Please refer to your local National Weather
