A weak subtropical cyclone formed 200 miles southeast of Cape Hatteras on July 30th. Moving north, the
cyclone strengthened into a subtropical storm the following day. After moving north of the Gulf Stream, the
subtropical storm weakened, and eventually dissipated as it neared the Maine coast on August 1st. The
