Tropical Storm Claudia - June 25-30,
1973
A disturbed area of weather was seen on satellite imagery on June 23rd
south of El Savador. The system
moved north of due west, continuing to organize. By the 25th, the
system had become a tropical depression.
The system turned to the northwest and north, striking Mexico thirty
miles east of Acapulco on the 28th. The
system then moved inland and dissipated. The graphics below
show the storm total rainfall associated with
Claudia. Data
was
acquired from the Comision Nacional del Agua, the parent agency of
Mexico's national
weather service.
