Hurricane Heather - October 5-8, 1977
Heather peaked as a minor hurricane offshore southwest Mexico, and
recurved half way up the coast of
Baja California before dissipating as a tropical depression offshore
Cabo Corrientes. The remains of Heather
recurved into southeast Arizona, producing heavy rain and major
flooding over the region. There were reports
of up to 14 inches of rainfall in the mountains, though the location of
those reports is unkown. The graphics
