A tropical disturbance began to develop southwest of Mexico on
September 29th. A low pressure
area developed within the thunderstorm activity, and became sufficiently organized to be designated
a tropical depression on October 1st. Moving northwest, the depression moved into cool waters, which
led to its dissipation by early on October 3rd. The graphics below show the storm total rainfall for
Tropical Depression 12E. Rainfall data was provided by the Comision Nacional del Agua, the parent
agency of Mexico's National Weather Service.
