U.S. NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RADAR AND SURFACE OBSERVATIONS
INDICATED LIGHT TO MODERATE SNOW ACROSS HIGHER ELEVATIONS OF THE
SOUTHWESTERN STATES...CENTRAL AND SOUTHERN ROCKIES...ALONG WITH
THE SOUTHERN PLAINS AND ARKANSAS. FREEZING RAIN AND SLEET WERE
ALSO OBSERVED ACROSS AREAS OF NORTHERN AND CENTRAL TEXAS. THERE

CONTINUE THROUGH TUESDAY FROM THE SOUTHWEST TO THE SOUTHEASTERN
U.S. ADDITIONAL SNOWFALL ACCUMULATIONS OF 1 TO 2 FEET...WITH
LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS...ARE STILL POSSIBLE ACROSS THE HIGHEST
TERRAIN OF THE FOUR CORNERS REGION. ONLY A COUPLE INCHES OF
ADDITIONAL SNOW IS EXPECTED FOR LOCATIONS ALONG THE RED RIVER.
MEANWHILE...SIGNIFICANT ICING IS STILL POSSIBLE FROM CENTRAL TEXAS
EASTWARD THROUGH MUCH OF THE SOUTHERN U.S. AND INTO COASTAL SOUTH
CAROLINA. THE HEAVIEST ICE ACCUMULATIONS ARE BEING FORECAST FROM
CENTRAL TEXAS INTO CENTRAL MISSISSIPPI AND WESTERN ALABAMA UP TO
0.25 INCHES ARE POSSIBLE.
