A favored guidance composite shows light to moderate holiday
weekend trades with weak surface trough passage. An accompanying
band of deeper moisture with upper support may increase rainfall.
Trades may gradually build late weekend and early next week as
strong Pacific high pressure settling to the north of the state
extends influence southward, cresting at moderate to brisk levels
into mid-later next week. Shower focus may return more to
windward/mauka areas, though some rain may stray leeward. Guidance
suggests another band of enhanced moisture may approach after
midweek to fuel downpours under a weakness aloft.
