Trades are expected to gradually build to moderate to brisk levels
this week as strong Pacific high pressure to the north of the
state extends influence southward. Shower focus should return to a
more typical summer pattern over windward/mauka areas, though some
rain may stray leeward. A preferred guidance composite indicates
that lowered moisture over the next few days may return
Thursday-Saturday to fuel shower activity under a weakness aloft
before slacking off again into early next week.
