Guidance agrees that high pressure bridging to the northeast of
the state will support brisk to moderate island trades this week
in a mainly windward terrain/mountain shower focusing pattern.
Moisture and rainfall seem modest, but tropical moisture and
showers may return to the Big Island later this weekend/early next
week. The 00 GFS does not seem quite amplified enough compared to
the 00 UTC ECMWF/Canadian with supporting upper trough digging to
the north of the state then considering common upstream ridge
amplitude.
