Slowly improving weather can be expected to close out the work
week as an upper trough lifts northward away from the state, with
lingering showers into this weekend across the western islands as
increased moisture pools along a weakening cold front. Mainly
scattered showers and typical sea breeze enhancements are expected
across the rest of the main islands. Through this weekend and
early next week, upper ridging should build back in across the
region with breezy easterly trades resuming and a more typical and
limited precipitation pattern across the state.  There is a hint
in the model guidance for a bit of a col to develop within the
upper ridge and perhaps a weak trough for the middle of the week,
but this is not currently expected to have a major impact on the
weather.
