The main subtropical high will be situated generally northeast of
Hawaii, with a trailing front from a low pressure system well to
the north approaching the far northwestern Islands by Saturday. 
This boundary will likely persist in that general region through
the weekend and then wash out by Monday.  Meanwhile, an upper
ridge builds east of the Big Island by next weekend and early next
week with good support from the ensemble means. 

In terms of sensible weather, mainly scattered showers and typical
terrain enhancements are expected across the Islands with winds
generally out of the east at 10-20 mph on most days, with perhaps
some ESE flow at times.  Locally heavy rain is possible for the
eastern slopes of the Big Island, but elsewhere no organized major
heavy rainfall events are anticipated over the next week as deep
tropical moisture remains generally well to the south through the
period, and moisture near the previously mentioned front likely
stays northwest of most of the Islands.
