Hawaii Extended Forecast Discussion NWS Weather Prediction Center College Park MD 303 AM EDT Sat Jun 04 2022 Valid 00Z Sun Jun 05 2022 - 00Z Sun Jun 12 2022 Latest models and ensembles still reasonably agree that the weather pattern looks to remain relatively dry and quiet for Hawaii over the next week. An upper ridge over and west of the state may persist well into next week even with some introduction underneath of weak impulses. Near the surface, high pressure ridge strength and positioning just to the north of the state seems to support only light to moderate mean trades. This pattern could lead to some windward and mountain showers, but these are expected to be few and far between as the ridging aloft creates an inversion (not allowing for much vertical development of any showers that try to develop) and moisture levels remain below normal.
