Guidance reasonably agrees that the weather pattern will remain
relatively dry and quiet for Hawaii this week. A mean upper ridge
over the state should persist even with some introduction
underneath of weak impulses. Surface high pressure ridge strength
and positioning just to the north of the state seems to support
only light to moderate trades this week. This pattern could lead
to some windward and mountain showers, but these are expected to
be few and far between as the ridging aloft creates an inversion
(not allowing for much vertical development of any showers that
try to develop) and moisture levels remain below normal.
