Latest models and ensembles reasonably agree that the weather
pattern will be relatively dry and quiet for Hawaii this week
under the influence of a mean upper ridge. Surface high pressure
ridge strength and positioning just to the north of the state
seems to support only light to moderate trades. Expect some
windward and mountain showers that should be limited as moisture
levels seem below normal, but there is a growing signal showing a
weakness in the upper ridge over the state by mid-late week that
could provide some local focus.
