Guidance reasonably agrees that the weather pattern will be
relatively dry and quiet for Hawaii this week, mostly under the
overall influence of a mean upper ridge. Surface high pressure
ridge strength and positioning just to the north of the state
seems to support only light to moderate trades. Expect some
windward and mountain showers that should be limited as moisture
levels seem below normal, but a weakness in the upper ridge over
the state into mid-late week and some later period/less certain
ridge embedded vorticity centers may provide some local shower
focus.
