Hawaii Extended Forecast Discussion NWS Weather Prediction Center College Park MD 320 AM EDT Thu Jun 23 2022 Valid 00Z Fri Jun 24 2022 - 00Z Fri Jul 01 2022 Upper ridging over Hawaii will shift to the north and west by Friday as an upper trough amplifies across the northeast Pacific. Trade winds should weaken in response and remain weak through the upcoming weekend. High pressure should again build back in to the north and east of the islands by early next week, with a return of moderate to breezy trade winds. A generally dry pattern is expected for Hawaii over the next week, with some chance for typical windward/mountain showers. By mid to later next week, some enhanced moisture looks to move towards the state, with possible connections to a likely weakened Tropical Storm Celia. Santorelli
