Models and ensembles reasonably agree that trade winds should be
light through the weekend as supporting surface pressure gradients
weaken under a weakness aloft. This could allow a few locally
enhanced showers. High pressure should again build back in to the
north and east of the islands by early next week, suggesting a
return of moderate to breezy trade winds. Overall, expect a
generally dry pattern for Hawaii for much of next week with
limited chances for typical windward/mountain showers. By later
next week, some enhanced moisture may move towards the state, with
possible residual connection to Celia.
