The upper low lifts northward away from Hawaii as high pressure
builds over the eastern Islands from east to west beginning this
weekend.  The latest guidance tends to agree on this particular
evolution of the upper pattern during this forecast period.

Trade winds are expected to increase going into early next week as
surface high pressure continues to build northeast of the states. 
A plume of moisture is likely to streak northward toward the
Islands by the middle of next week, despite the heaviest axis of
precipitation remaining south of The Big Island.  Before this
time, scattered showers are possible with some enhanced amounts
impacting Maui and The Big Island.
