The latest model guidance is in reasonably good agreement through
next week. The Eastern Pacific high will build westward this
weekend along with a compact upper low that should move well west
of the Islands by early to mid week. In the wake of the upper low
passage, a slightly drier and more stable airmass will settle over
the Islands with the trade winds favoring the typical windward
areas for showers. By mid week through the end of the period, the
upper ridge influence wanes and a more typical trade wind regime
sets up over the Islands.
