The main axis of the subtropical high is expected to be centered
roughly near 35 degrees north through Tuesday, and then a large
high develops well to the northeast of Hawaii closer to 40-45
degrees north, but Hawaii will still be on the southern edge of
this surface high.  By Friday and next weekend, the ensemble means
diverge on their solutions regarding the placement of an inverted
trough axis well west of the state, with the GEFS mean closer to
the western most Islands.

Trades are generally expected to be from the east-northeast at
10-20 mph with occasionally higher gusts, with some weakening of
the flow by the end of the week as the overall pressure gradient
relaxes a bit.  In terms of expected precipitation, nothing major
or well organized is on the weather horizon, with mainly terrain
enhanced showers on most days and the greatest coverage on the Big
Island.
