The core of the surface high over the eastern Pacific, centered
near 45 degrees north, develops well to the northeast of Hawaii
through the end of the week, but Hawaii will still be on the far
southern edge of this surface high.  By Sunday into early next
week, the ensemble means suggest the subtropical high will become
more established north of the state between 35-40 degrees north, .

The trades are generally expected to be from the east-northeast at
10-20 mph with occasionally higher gusts through Thursday, with
some weakening of the flow by the end of the week as the overall
pressure gradient relaxes a bit.  The winds are likely to increase
some going into early next week as the high builds back in to the
north.  In terms of expected precipitation, nothing major or well
organized is on the weather horizon, with mainly terrain enhanced
showers on most days and the greatest coverage on the Big Island.
