A favored composite of reasonably well clustered overall guidance
from the latest models and ensembles indicates that upper
troughing works into the state today and an overall mean weakness
aloft is expected to linger well into next week. Trades may weaken
in response and with approach of a moisture focusing boundary from
the north. Some connection to deeper tropical moisture may favor a
more active shower pattern to include some locally enhanced
downpours. Strong high pressure slated to bridge to the north then
northeast of the islands later week into next week should act to
revive trades to moderate to brisk mean levels and refocus most
shower activity to favored windward terrain.
