Hawaii Extended Forecast Discussion NWS Weather Prediction Center College Park MD 224 AM EST Sun Nov 06 2022 Valid 00Z Mon Nov 07 2022 - 00Z Mon Nov 14 2022 Persistent high pressure north of Hawaii through much of the next week will allow for a fairly typical easterly trade wind flow pattern over the state with moderate to locally breezy speeds. This generally should support mainly windward/mountain-focused showers along the eastern facing terrain. Upper troughing across the East Pacific later this week may drop towards Hawaii by next weekend, allowing for some increasing moisture, although the better moisture and QPF should stay well east. The latest models and ensembles show very good agreement through much of this week on this overall pattern, with lingering uncertainties still on troughing/upper flow dynamics likely staying far enough east of Hawaii next weekend.
