The subtropical surface high is forecast to build back in to the
north of Hawaii going through the remainder of the work week as
the low over the mid-latitudes lifts farther away.  The core of
the ridge should be near 30 degrees north and generally situated
northeast of the Islands.  The ensemble means are indicating a
well defined col developing in the ridge by early next week over
the far northwestern Islands, with the GEFS mean a bit to the east
of the EC mean.

Trades should generally be out of the east-northeast on most days
with a gradually increasing velocity of the winds going into the
weekend as the pressure gradient gets stronger.  In the
precipitation department, there may be a slight increase in shower
coverage from Maui to the Big Island for the Friday through Monday
time period, but overall nothing too significant.
