Hawaii Extended Forecast Discussion NWS Weather Prediction Center College Park MD 259 AM EST Mon Nov 21 2022 Valid 00Z Tue Nov 22 2022 - 00Z Tue Nov 29 2022 Breezy to locally strong easterly trade winds will be the main concern across Hawaii over the next couple of days with a surface high located to the north. Thus any showers that form should favor windward and mountain areas, though the environment should have lower than normal moisture content over the next couple of days. Moisture could increase and focus just ahead of a cold front that looks to come across the entire state Thanksgiving Day for some increased shower coverage Wednesday-Thursday, but these showers should be quickly moving before clearing out behind the front. Northeasterly to northerly winds could be strong behind the front Thursday into Friday. The front is currently forecast to weaken and diminish south of Hawaii this weekend, and winds should weaken considerably over the state while moisture could increase a bit. Tate
