Overall the pattern across Hawaii through the next week or so
looks to be rather calm and dry. In the short term, some
southerly/southwesterly winds are expected to continue
particularly over Kauai and Oahu through the day Saturday in
response to a weakening front that will stay north of the state.
But by early next week, weak winds should prevail and will be
dominated by localized land and sea breezes. Additionally, a ridge
aloft along with a surface high to the east will promote dry
weather all the way through next week as any frontal boundaries
stay to the north of these features. Around Tuesday-Wednesday this
high may drift closer to Hawaii, strengthening trade winds a bit
with the increased pressure gradient, but winds are likely to
weaken again for the latter half of next week.
