Model and ensemble solutions reasonably agree over the next week
and a preferred composite tends to mitigate lingering small scale
differences. A front is dissipating over Hawaii as an attendant
deep surface low tracks well northeast of the state. Expect modest
windward terrain showers over the eastern islands with residual
moisture into Friday. Upper ridging will amplify and should be
maintained over the islands by Friday and into at least early-mid
next week that will support a protracted dry and stable pattern
with light to moderate mean trade flow. There is then a growing
guidance signal to bring another modest weather focusing front to
the state in about a week as driven by deep low and amplified
upper trough passage well to the north of the state.
