Hawaii Extended Forecast Discussion NWS Weather Prediction Center College Park MD 220 AM EST Fri Jan 06 2023 Valid 00Z Sat Jan 07 2023 - 00Z Sat Jan 14 2023 There is very good agreement in the model and ensemble solutions for a rather quiet and stable weather pattern over Hawaii through at least next week. A dissipating front over Hawaii today may continue to bring lingering but light windward terrain showers to eastern islands. By this weekend, upper ridging and very dry air will move in supporting little in the way of any sort of precipitation over Hawaii into early next week with a light to moderate mean trade wind flow. Guidance continues to show a front may approach the northern islands around the middle of next week driven by a deep low and amplified upper trough passing well to the north of the state. This should bring some increased moisture and a slight chance of showers. Santorelli
