Hawaii Extended Forecast Discussion NWS Weather Prediction Center College Park MD 219 AM EST Sun Jan 08 2023 Valid 00Z Mon Jan 09 2023 - 00Z Mon Jan 16 2023 There is very good agreement in the model and ensemble solutions for a mostly quiet and stable weather pattern over Hawaii through at least the next week. Upper ridging and very dry air will support little in the way of any sort of precipitation over Hawaii into early week with a light to moderate mean trade wind flow. Guidance continues to show a front may approach the northern islands around the middle of the week driven by a deep low and amplifying upper trough passing well to the north of the state. This should bring some increased moisture and a slight chance of showers around Wednesday-Thursday. After this, high pressure again looks to build over and north of the islands with another period of dry weather days ahead. Santorelli
