A preferred composite of reasonably clustered model and ensemble
guidance supports moderate to brisk trades will persist into next
week as strong high pressure bridges to the north then northeast
of the state. In this pattern, the bulk of upper troughing and
deepest moisture remains just to the southeast of the state this
week in generally continued stable conditions over much of Hawaii,
but renewed trades may tap enough for periodic showers over
favored windward terrain. The Big Island seemingly has the best
potential for some heavier downpours from later weekend and next
week given deepest moisture potential as upper troughing gradually
works back over the state along with surface flow response, albeit
still with uncertainty given the transition is at these longer
time frames.
