...Prolonged wet pattern through next week with occasional chances
for heavier rainfall...

An upper level trough/low is drifting south and westward to the
northwest of the islands while high pressure approaches from the
east. This is is a favored setup for keeping rains over much of
the state and with sustained southeasterly flow, some of the rains
may be a little heavier at times. The moisture influx will begin
to decrease this weekend into early next week as the low/trough
shears out leading to reduced chances for rain.
