Light to moderate trades are supporting return moisture advection
this weekend to fuel showers as a main boundary shifts westward
over the state. Models and ensembles reasonably agree that a new
central Pacific closed system digging to the north of the state
will bring another trailing cold front and chances for additional
rainfall to the islands by early in the week. The front should
work then stall across the state, combine with lead moisture and
linger into mid-later next week in disrupted trade flow as the
main supporting closed upper low/trough to the north slides only
slowly eastward. Post-frontal moderate trades may return next
weekend as high pressure bridges to the north of the state.
