A favored composite of well clustered model guidance has broad
ensemble support overall in a pattern with average to above
average predictability. Despite a stalling boundary lingering in
the vicinity, rain chances have trended downward for the rest of
the weekend, with only light showers anticipated. Next week will
see a return to a pattern featuring moderate trades as high
pressure bridges to the north then northeast of the state.
Southeastward digging of an upper-level trough and surface front
from the west-central Pacific mid-latitudes are forecast to occur
to the west. Subsequent higher precipitation chances nearby may
drift eastward enough to bring showers to Kauai and Oahu by
Tuesday-Wednesday with a brief disruption to the trades.  The
associated surface troughing/frontal boundary to the northwest are
forecast to weaken/dissipate by late week with broad high pressure
remaining in place to the north and moderate trades continuing
over the islands.
