A favored composite blend of the model guidance has good ensemble
support overall in a pattern with average to above average
predictability. An upper-level trough and surface front from the
west-central Pacific mid-latitudes will pass to the west of the
state early this week. Subsequent higher precipitation chances
look to drift eastward enough to bring showers to Kauai and Oahu
most likely on Tuesday-Wednesday. The upper-level trough/surface
frontal boundary are forecast to weaken/dissipate by late week as
an expansive area of high pressure consolidates to the north.
Moderate, breezy trades should settle in under this pattern with
daily windward shower chances.
