Trade winds should remain fairly weak this week as a front to the
north of Hawaii slides eastward. This supports drier conditions
overall across the state, with models advertising lower than
average precipitable water values. Trades should rebound around
later in the week and next weekend though, with some increasing
shower chances too, as high pressure once again becomes
established north of the region. There is very good agreement on
this overall pattern, so a general model compromise should be a
reasonable starting point for the forecast over the next week.
