Hawaii Extended Forecast Discussion NWS Weather Prediction Center College Park MD 330 AM EDT Mon Jul 10 2023 Valid 00Z Tue Jul 11 2023 - 00Z Tue Jul 18 2023 Surface high pressure north of Hawaii should keep a persistent trade wind pattern in place through this week and next weekend. A pocket of increased moisture looks to move through the state (associated with former Tropical Cyclone Adrian) early this week leading to better chances for windward and mountain shower coverage. Otherwise, drier conditions and modest trades should persist through next weekend. Upper ridging should weaken over the sate later this week as an upper trough edges south across the north-central Pacific. The associated cold front should stay well to the north of Hawaii though. Models continue to have a good handle on the overall pattern for the next week, with some uncertainties in the details. Santorelli
