Surface high pressure in place to the northwest and northeast of
Hawaii late week will likely combine into one high meandering
around 40N latitude next week. The influence of this high will
lead to persistent and likely breezy easterly trades through the
next week, with perhaps minor variations in speed from day to day.
Without significant upper-level features influencing the pattern,
typical weather can be expected, including some scattered
windward/mauka showers that should not be very deep given the
common inversion aloft. Shower coverage may be temporarily
enhanced late Saturday into Sunday as slightly higher precipitable
water values come into Hawaii, but heavy rainfall is not likely
throughout the next week.
