Models and ensembles overall agree that high pressure bridged to
the north of the islands should maintain moderate to breezy
easterly trades over the next few days. Clouds and showers that
form should favor windward and mauka areas, but should be limited
within a pattern with generally below normal moisture. Upper
trough amplification and slow approach toward the state from the
east should act to weaken that portion of the high pressure ridge
and associated island trades by later this week in a pattern with
slowly returning moisture and shower activity through the weekend
into early next week.
