Latest guidance agrees upon a mostly dry pattern into at least
early this week as the state remains under an east-west axis of
below average precipitable water values. Trades should trend
toward moderate levels with an upper weakness dropping down from
the north-northeast, with some possible mountain/windward showers.
Models/ensembles suggest moisture and winds may increase further
around mid week as a tropical disturbance moves to the south of
Hawaii. Upper level ridging should move back into the region late
next week. Models show good agreement on this pattern for the
large scale, but with plenty of differences remaining in the
details.
