A favored composite of reasonably compatible model and ensemble
guidance indicates that below normal moisture should overall limit
shower activity for much of the state, but deeper tropical
moisture is expected to skirt the southern islands today into
Thursday that could to fuel a few localized downpours over the Big
Island. Weakened trades may slowly return to moderate levels this
weekend into early next week and allow a modest uptick of windward
shower activity.
