Upper level ridging to the north of Hawaii through much of the
period should maintain a fairly normal trade wind pattern, with
some weakening/disruption of trades at times. Showers will tend to
focus over windward/mountain areas but could extend over other
locations depending on local land/sea breeze effects.
From late weekend into next week, trades should rebound somewhat
as high pressure settles over the eastern Pacific. Models/means
continue to signal the arrival of enhanced moisture by midweek in
association with the remnant trough of what is now Invest 94E,
though with typical spread for specifics which have low
predictability that far out in time. Overall, expect greater
windward shower focus Sunday onward, with rainfall totals tending
to increase around midweek.
