Strong high pressure to the north of Hawaii this week should keep
a locally breezy trade wind pattern in place, with some
variability in speeds. Trades may ease some during the weekend
with some heavier showers possible as an upper level
trough/cyclone moves nearby and leads to a slight uptick in the
precipitable water values over the islands. Otherwise, showers
through the next week will tend to focus over the favorable
windward/mountain areas but could extend over some leeward
locations depending on wind speeds and pockets of higher moisture
moving through the flow.
