Guidance solutions overall remain reasonably well clustered for
much of the coming week in a generally benign weather pattern with
seemingly above normal predictability. A favored composite
indicates that moisture should thin this weekend and high pressure
bridging to the north of the islands should allow the return of
easterly trade winds through early-midweek. Mostly dry conditions
are expected with windward/mauka showers, and very little shower
activity is forecast to reach leeward communities. Some models
show an axis of moisture clipping the Big Island mid-week, which
may increase precipitation chances. Trade winds should ease by
later week as a cold front approaches from the north, to likely
linger through next weekend.
