A cold front approaching the western islands will continue to
bring southerly and locally gusty winds along with enhanced
showers to mainly Kauai and Oahu through Monday. The parent upper
low and associated cold front should lift out of the region around
Tuesday into Wednesday with heights rising again over Hawaii
through the rest of this week. Trade winds should trend very light
mid to late week, with a typical land/sea breeze pattern, but
trades may veer and strengthen again next weekend as a new cold
front moves into the region with additional showers possible. A
more typical trade wind pattern looks to return by next Monday as
surface high pressure moves in north of Hawaii.
