Rainfall associated with a cold front should weaken and dissipate
over the western islands today/Tuesday while an area of enhanced
moisture moves over the Big Island. Upper ridging will build by
Wednesday as trade winds trend very light mid to late week, with a
typical land/sea breeze pattern. The next cold front should
approach the islands this weekend with some disruption to the
trades and additional showery activity. A more typical trade wind
pattern looks to return by next Monday into at least the middle of
next week as surface high pressure moves in north of Hawaii.
