The surface high situated north of the Islands is expected to
gradually weaken some going into Monday as a frontal boundary near
30 degrees north impinges on the high, with the front expected to
stall well north of the state.  A surface low is likely to develop
along this boundary mid-week according to the ensemble means, and
this should also pass north of the state around 30 degrees north. 
The trailing front from this low may come closer to the
northwestern Islands by late Thursday and into Friday, with a col
remaining in the surface high going into early next weekend. 

In terms of sensible weather, the trades should generally be light
out of the east with some ENE or ESE component at times through
early in the week, before a more southeasterly flow develops in
response to the frontal boundary and col.  The trades should
continue to be lighter than usual going through the end of the
week for most areas, which would result in more sea breeze type
showers to develop.  However, no major areas of organized heavy
rainfall are expected over the next 7 days.
