Hawaii Extended Forecast Discussion NWS Weather Prediction Center College Park MD 338 AM EDT Tue Oct 31 2023 Valid 00Z Wed Nov 1 2023 - 00Z Wed Nov 8 2023 A surface low is forecast to develop along a quasi-stationary front over the next couple of days, and this should also pass well north of the state around 30-35 degrees north. The trailing front from this low may come close to the northwestern Islands by late Thursday and into Friday, with a col remaining in the surface high going into early next weekend. The subtropical highs builds to the northwest going into early next week. In terms of sensible weather, the trades should generally be light out of the east with some ENE or ESE component at times through most of the week. This may result in more sea breeze type showers to develop. If the front late week manages to pass the northwestern Islands, a stronger surge of northeasterly winds would result. However, no major areas of organized heavy rainfall are expected over the next 7 days. Hamrick
