Anywhere from 1-3 inches of rainfall is possible for the central islands of Molokai, Lenai, Kahoolawe and Maui today. Lighter rainfall totals are expected through Friday. High pressure will move in over the state on Saturday, ushering in dryer conditions which is expected to continue through early next week. Moist southerly flow today and Wednesday will give way to the dominant trades on Thursday. High pressure advection into the area on Friday will support northerly advection across the state this weekend. Another approaching system early next week may shift winds once again out of the south.
