A moisture pooling front and leading lines of showers are working
out through the western islands from the northwest. Southerly flow
in advance of the slowly weakening front is enhancing winds and
has brought in a more moist airmass to fuel some showers/downpours
across the state as prompted by upper trough/deep low passage now
to the north of the state. Expect lingering moisture and some
showers will linger into late week with the stalling front over
the eastern islands, with drier post-frontal conditions back
through the western islands. Highly energetic and progressive flow
then setting up just to the north of the state offers potential
for the forcing of a second front and another enhanced axis of
moisture into the state that could fuel another rain/convection
push again into the western to central islands early-mid next
week. Overall, a favored composite of guidance still seems to
offer a reasonable forecast basis and good cycle to cycle
continuity through much of the upcoming week.
